My mother bought us a lemon tree which was in excellent condition when we took it home. We dug a hole in the garden and tried to re-plant it there but a few weeks later the leaves started to turn yellow and kept falling off the tree. At first, I thought it was too much watering, then not enough watering, then I thought it was the garden pests. I decided to put the tree back in the plant pot which it came with and then all the leaves started falling off, even the green leaves. The tips of the branches turned brown and I got a pruner to cut them off. I could not figure out what was wrong because I thought I was doing everything right. I even read articles online on how to take proper care of it.
Well, it's been really hot lately temperatures ranging from 75-99 degrees. I've recently moved the tree into the sunroom so the leaves won't cook in the sun. I think it is now progressing a bit better and it's been growing new leaves and flowers. I'll see how it does in a few weeks.
Here it is now ...
As you can see I still have the tag on it.
