My recent moon photos
Palm Tree!
Well, here is a picture of the palm tree I bought from Walmart a month or two ago. I guess I could say it's doing alright. The tips of the leaves are turning brown maybe I'm not watering it enough or maybe because the tree has been cooking in the sun. I've seen fertilizers at garden centers that are made for palm trees but I don't think my tree needs some right now.
As you can see in the photo I've trimmed off some of the leaves, lol. How hideous.
I need help with my Myers lemon tree!!!
My mother bought us a lemon tree which was in excellent condition when we took it home. We dug a hole in the garden and tried to re-plant it there but a few weeks later the leaves started to turn yellow and kept falling off the tree. At first, I thought it was too much watering, then not enough watering, then I thought it was the garden pests. I decided to put the tree back in the plant pot which it came with and then all the leaves started falling off, even the green leaves. The tips of the branches turned brown and I got a pruner to cut them off. I could not figure out what was wrong because I thought I was doing everything right. I even read articles online on how to take proper care of it.
Well, it's been really hot lately temperatures ranging from 75-99 degrees. I've recently moved the tree into the sunroom so the leaves won't cook in the sun. I think it is now progressing a bit better and it's been growing new leaves and flowers. I'll see how it does in a few weeks.
Here it is now ...
As you can see I still have the tag on it.

Plants (succulents & more)
I've just started to collect succulents because I've heard they are low maintenance and that they don't need to be watered daily even in hot humidity areas so I thought these are perfect for me. So I've recently purchased portulacaria afras (elephant bush) a crassula that is also called gollum, ET fingers because of its shape. Portulacaria afras have small (Jade plant )leaves I've repotted them in some vases that Ive has in my storage creating a terrarium look. I will see how they do in a few weeks :)
I have little knowledge about them right now but I promise I'm learning :D

Moon Watching
Ive recently been using my telescope which is Polaris by Meade and been focusing on the moon nightly trying to observe its changes. I'ts a hobby that I really enjoy and at times , I take videos and photos of what I see through the telescope. I do not have a telephoto or an expensive brand - professional camera but what I have right now works for me. I will try to start posting photos and videos of what I witness in the night sky from now on to share to others with the same interests as me. :D
First, check out the video :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no_8CkelOHs
These are the first photos that I've taken on my first and 2nd night of moon watching -June 2011. Not the best pics but I tried.
